This is one of the first attempts to summarise the situation in thr field of nanotechnology and microtechnology in Poland. The study was based on an analysis of research projects carried out by Polish groups. The analysis tells us about the reserach directions strongly represented in Poland and the underrepresented ones. In order to reach the an objective view of the present situation in this field, 289 projects carried out by polish groups were analysedthat started in 2002-2004.

The report shows the main Nanotechnology Centers in Poland.

The report constrains the presentation od national/ international Networks coordinated from Poland in the foeld of nanotechnology and nanosciences, knowledge based multifunctional materials and new production processes and divices.
Special atention was given to the goals of Networks.

In the frame of the project NANOFORUM ( see www.nanoforum.org ) we worked out a report on education in the field of nanoscience in Poland.

The report contains the review of the methods for production of doped nanopowders as well as the new knowledge about their applications according to most recent research publications.
