Institute of High Pressure Physics

The Institute of High Pressure Physics PAS will organize two prestigious international conferences on advanced semiconductor materials and devices - 49th WOCSDICE and 20th EXMATEC 2026. The combined event will be held in Gdańsk, Poland, from May 24 to 28, 2026.

The conference chairpersons are Prof. Mike Leszczynski (EXMATEC) from the Laboratory of Semiconductor Characterization (NL-12) and Dr. Paweł Prystawko (WOCSDICE) from the Crystal Growth Laboratory (NL-3) of our Institute.

The conference program covers key topics in compound semiconductors, including wide and ultra-wide bandgap materials, as well as related electronic, optoelectronic, and photonic devices. Special focus will be on modern materials and nanostructures, including 2D materials, with attention to their properties, interfaces, and reliability. The program also emphasizes advanced characterization and simulation techniques supporting the development of next-generation semiconductor devices.
