The rapid increase in civilization-related diseases - such as diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular and musculoskeletal disorders or cancer - has created an urgent demand for new strategies in tissue engineering and organ replacement.

During the next Unipress Thursday Seminar, dr inż. Ewa Kijeńska-Gawrońska from the Centre for Advanced Materials and Technologies CEZAMAT, Warsaw University of Technology, will introduce the general concept and progress in biomaterials fabrication and tissue engineering, highlighting the potential applications of electrospinning, 3D printing, and stem cells in modern therapies, including those in human and veterinary medicine. The talk tile is „Biomaterials for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine”.
