Nagroda "Young Researcher Award" dla Pragyi Parasar

We are proud to share that Ms. Pragya Parasar, a PhD researcher from the Molecular Beam Epitaxy Laboratory (NL-14) at the Institute of High Pressure Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences, has been awarded the Young Researcher Award at the E-MRS 2026 Fall Meeting & Exhibit, held in Warsaw from 14 to 17 September 2026. 

The award was presented in recognition of her contribution to Symposium A: “New frontiers in wide-bandgap semiconductors and heterostructures for electronics, optoelectronics and sensing – III”, for her work entitled: “Blue-violet laser diodes without quantum wells”.

Pragya's presentation focuses on the development and characterization of InGaN-based laser diodes grown by plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxy (PAMBE). Her research explores wide-bandgap III-nitride semiconductor structures for blue-violet laser emission, with particular emphasis on double-heterostructure laser diodes. The award was presented during the E-MRS 2026 Fall Meeting reception on 16 September 2026 at Warsaw University of Technology.

The E-MRS Young Researcher Awards (YRA) are intended to recognize and encourage PhD researchers whose academic achievements and current research demonstrate a high level of excellence and distinction, as well as promise for significant future contributions to materials research.
