We are happy to announce that the National Science Centre (NCN) has published the results of the OPUS 30 and SONATA 21 calls. As many as five scientists from the Institute of High Pressure Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences, are among the winners. Funding has been awarded for the following projects:
- Prof. dr hab. Michał Leszczyński – “Flexible electroluminescent diodes emitting in the visible range of the spectrum” – OPUS 30 call - collaboration between the Institute of High Pressure Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences (leader) and Warsaw University (partner);
- Dr. Bohdan Sadovyi – “Thermodynamic and kinetic control of the growth of hexagonal boron nitride single crystals from metallic solutions under high and extremely high pressure” – SONATA 21 call
- Dr. Agnieszka Witkowska – “Machine learning aided approach to the new type tunable-filter-based computational THz spectroscopy” – SONATA 21 call
- Dr. Szymon Stańczyk – “Monolithic Laser-Amplifier systems for active photonic integrated circuits” – SONATA 21 call - collaboration between the Institute of High Pressure Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences (leader) and Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics;
- Dr Agata Bojarska-Cieślińska – „Nitride superlattice lasers: design strategies for ultra-high external quantum efficiency” – konkurs SONATA 21 call
The granted projects will explore pioneering research in high-pressure physics and crystallization, semiconductor materials and their applications in optoelectronics as well as spectroscoy of THz radiation. The research will advance fundamental knowledge in key areas of natural and engineering sciences and strengthen the Institute’s position as a leading center of high-pressure research and semiconductor physics and technology.
Full results of both calls can be found on the NCN webpage.
Congratulations to all the laureates!
