Research topics
Research at the Terahertz Laboratory encompasses the broadly defined terahertz spectrum, focusing on high frequencies in the 0.1-10 THz range, including fundamental and applied research, as well as research and development. The main research topics are high-frequency issues in fundamental physics (semiconductor and solid-state physics), semiconductor device physics, including nitride devices, and materials science.
A crucial area of research here is the study of various two-dimensional structures with a focus on fundamental physics and their potential applications. Additionally, the laboratory, in collaboration with numerous domestic and international centers, conducts interdisciplinary research using high frequencies.
