Laboratory NL-15

Research topics

The Optoelectronic Devices Laboratory (NL15) conducts research and develops technologies for semiconductor optoelectronic devices (mainly nitride-based).

We design and manufacture components such as laser diodes, semiconductor optical amplifiers, and superluminescent diodes. Our work covers all stages of emitter production: from the design of the epitaxial structure, through epitaxial growth (MOVPE), processing (including etching, insulation, and contacts), to the assembly of devices. We perform characterization at both the epitaxial structure level (microphotoluminescence) and the level of individual devices (including LIV, gain measurements, and near-field measurements).
