Research topics
Research at the Semiconductor Physics Laboratory includes modeling the physical properties of semiconductor crystals, structures, and devices, as well as other technologically important materials such as perovskites, glasses and soft matter systems. A significant part of the research focuses on processes at the surface of a growing crystal depending on the environment in which crystallization occurs.
The research scope of the laboratory also includes the experimental verification of modeling results, particularly in the area of high-pressure synthesis of new materials (hBN), and the construction of phase diagrams of nitride semiconductors under extreme conditions of pressure, temperature, and electron temperature.
